Buddy Rich (Various Jazz)

Whether it was simply a talent he was born with and/or the influences of the many fine pit drummers he heard throughout his childhood, Bernard “Buddy” Rich seemed to have been destined to become, as Gene Krupa once said, “The greatest drummer ever to have drawn breath.” Buddy probably would have agreed. Master Rich made his first stage appearance at the age of 10 months playing “The Stars and Stripes Forever” on a parade drum.
